چکیده

For high-speed underwater vehicles, cavitation can be one of the most important speed barriers. The cavitating flow even complex when an vehicle is sailing close to free surface/wall. In this study, mutual effects surface and near-wall on cloud that surrounds axisymmetric projectile are investigated by water tank experiment computational fluids dynamics (CFD). Split-Hopkinson pressure bar (SHPB) technology applied in accelerate a short time. our numerical approach, volume fluid (VOF) method, large eddy simulation (LES) turbulence model, Zwart-Gerber-Belamri (ZGB) model used. under surface/wall effect changing distance between ( d f ) or wall w ). Both show unstable cavity evolution includes four stages induced re-entrant jet: growth, jet, shedding collapsing. results further as decreases, length shorter becomes more stable; longer less stable. By understanding stability flow, parameters space spanned divided into several distinct regimes, which entire (symmetry/asymmetry), steady non-shedding cavity, partial shedding, ventilated identified. • Experimental approaches analyze wall. the effects of changing roughness on the flow structure in the bends

flow in natural river bends is a complex and turbulent phenomenon which affects the scour and sedimentations and causes an irregular bed topography on the bed. for the reason, the flow hydralics and the parameters which affect the flow to be studied and understand. in this study the effect of bed and wall roughness using the software fluent discussed in a sharp 90-degree flume bend with 40.3cm ...

Melting Heat Transfer and Radiation Effects on Jeffrey Fluid Flow over a Continuously Moving Surface with a Parallel Free Stream

This article is proposed to address the melting heat transfer of a Jeffrey fluid in Blasius and Sakiadis flow caused due to a moving surface. Thermal radiation and a constant free stream are considered in this mathematical model. The non-linear coupled dimensionless equations from the governing equations are attained by employing appropriate similarity transformations. The resulting dimensionle...

numerical analysis of supersonic flow over an apds projectile

aerodynamic simulation of apds projectile with and without sabot has been conducted here. due to less weight of apds projectile in comparison with the projectile, with the same caliber, apds projectile has higher muzzle velocity, longer range, high penetration capability, and higher impact velocity. simulation of flow around the sabot walls has been carried out in two opening degrees of zero an...
